Our New Normal has presented us with a whole new world of agency risk. We are in the midst of a digital transformation as Americans shift to remote work en masse. As of May 2020, over 33% of American workers have been working from home half- or full-time, while 57% of Americans have spent at least some of their time working from home.

Based on data calculated by RSA, there has been a 468% increase in phishing attempts since work-from-home began – this makes sense given the fact that home networks are up to 7.5x more likely to fall victim to malware, and Cloud operations have an 80% security visibility decrease in comparison to that of an office’s local network.

Business resiliency has also taken on new risks. The revolution of employees into new job responsibilities and work environments presents the possibility of compliance risk as well as data security risk, with the management of individual Cloud access being undertaken remotely and at great speed.
