Vendor Management Specialist

Job Responsibilities

Summary:

 

Software Information Resource Corp. (SIRC) is a Value Added Reseller (VAR) to Federal / State / Local Government. SIRC has partner with various software manufacturer and is seeking a sales professional who is passionate about computer software and helping federal government run more efficiently. Your responsibilities will be to sell the manufacturer's solutions to Federal / SLED and generate new customers through a variety of sales methods. This will include using the Company's marketing tools to managing inbound leads from campaigns, and networking. As you engage with prospects you will participate on live demos of the product through webinars and manage the sales process to successfully close and win new business.

  • Passionate about Federal / State / Local government and helping government organizations run more efficiently
  • Familiarity with implementing and maintaining vendor management software is required.
  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to achieve results effectively and professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions under the direction of Director of Vendor Management
  • Willing to share and bring new and creative ideas to the team
  • Hungry and driven through high sales performance
  • Good at connecting with people
  • Confident and has a proven track record of closing deals and bringing in new business
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.

Job Qualifications

You’ll likely have:

 

  • A minimum of 6 months’ previous experience of inside sales and/or BDM – showing us your enthusiasm and drive for a career in sales 
  • A Bachelor's degree from a leading university is highly preferred 
  • Clear communication skills, able to be compelling with a variety of individuals 
  • Resilience and tenacity – you will be able to bounce back and carry on 

 

Additional and/or Specific Skills:

 

  • Proven sales/marketing/vendor management experience. 
  • Track record of exceeding quotas. 
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools. 
  • Experience working with CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong listening and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. 
  • Creative thinker with the ability to resolve critical problems.
