IBM is announcing the split of the United States (US) market into US Commercial (including non‑Federal GOE) and US Federal.

As a result, IBM Business Partners that transact across both markets will have the option to select a Preferred IBM Distributor for each.

• Business Partners that choose the same Distributor for both US Commercial and US Federal can continue using their current Company ID (CEID), with no further action required.
• Business Partners that choose different Distributors for US Commercial and US Federal will require a second CEID.

Distributor Landscape Updates

US Commercial

No changes are being made. The authorized IBM Distributors remain:

• Arrow Electronics, Inc.
• Ingram Micro, Inc.
• TD SYNNEX Corporation

US Federal

The following changes will apply:

• Carahsoft Technology Corp. will be authorized and onboarded as an IBM Distributor by 15 October 2026.
• Ingram Micro, Inc. will be de‑authorized as an IBM Distributor for all platforms, effective 31 December 2026.
• Arrow Electronics, Inc. and TD SYNNEX Corporation will remain authorized IBM Distributors for this market.
