SME QA Tester Lead

Job Responsibilities

Summary:


SIRC is looking to fill an immediate opening for a SME QA Tester Lead for a project in downtown Washington DC (Metro accessible). This is our DIRECT CLIENT. If you are interested, please send me your resume along with your expected hourly rate on W2, 1099 or Corp to Corp.


The QA Tester Lead will work closely with the project stakeholders to gain understanding of requirements. The QA Tester Lead will perform the following day to day responsibilities and Duties:

  • Analyze and obtain understating of requirements
  • Actively participate in requirement gathering sessions
  • Actively participate in team and stakeholders meetings
  • Writes test cases and scripts
  • Maintain and establish test data
  • Perform manual and automated testing to ensure the application is free of defects and meets customer business needs
  • Perform verification using defined methods, procedures
  • Assist the development team in reproducing reported issues
  • Document issues found during testing and works with Development team to resolve the issue.
  • Write SQL statements
  • Prepare and update bug reports
  • Provide Test Result Reports to management
  • Candidate will be performing both manual and automated testing, with a larger focus on the automated side.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH FULL SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT LIFE CYCLE REQUIRED  7 YEARS
AT LEAST 7 YEARS OF OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH 5 YEARS IN WEB BASED SYSTEM QA ROLE REQUIRED  7 YEARS
BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, ENGINEERING OR RELATED FIELD PREFERRED REQUIRED  7 YEARS
EXPERIENCE WITH TESTING IN VARIOUS ENVIRONMENTS INCLUDING ASP.NET, TFS ENVIRONMENT REQUIRED  5 YEARS
EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE WITH MANUAL AND AUTOMATED FUNCTIONAL TESTING REQUIRED  5 YEARS
EXPERIENCE WITH SYSTEM INTEGRATION TESTING, PERFORMANCE/STRESS TESTING AND CROSS BROWSERS TESTING REQUIRED  5 YEARS
EXPERIENCE WITH AUTOMATED TESTING TOOLS (HP ALM, QTP, TEST DIRECTOR) IS PREFERRED HIGHLY DESIRED 5 YEARS
TESTING EXPERIENCE WITH WEB SERVICES AND USER INTERFACES REQUIRED 5 YEARS
EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH RELATIONAL DATABASES, AND ABILITY TO WRITE COMPLEX SQL QUERY REQUIRED 5 YEARS
EXPERIENCE WRITING TEST PLAN AND TEST CASES AND EXECUTE TEST CASES REQUIRED 5 YEARS
EXPERIENCE IN EMERGING AND CURRENT TECHNOLOGIES INCLUDING GIS/CLOUD/SOA/WEB SERVICES;AGILE PROCESS REQUIRED 5 YEARS
INTER PERSONAL SKILLS WORKING WELL IN A TEAM ENVIRONMENT HIGHLY DESIRED 5 YEARS
SME EXPERIENCE IN COMPLEX ENTERPRISE LEVEL PROJECTS REQUIRED 6 - 10 YEARS
MASTER’S DEGREE IN IT OR RELATED FIELD OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE DESIRED
